Well, in the past few days I've finished FFX, Soul Reaver 2, and Devil May Cry (which I borrowed from a friend last night). Guess I will have to rent something now. Maybe Metal Gear Solid 2 or ICO. Probably going to hang at my friends' house tomorrow for New Years Eve. My birthday is next monday. I don't know what I'll be doing for that. Probably nothing. I'm just hoping someone will remember it this year... I made some cookies tonight. They were just the kind that you cut up and throw in the oven heh. My dad and I shoved them all onto on baking pan and they ended up expanding and combining into one large cookie. It was kinda funny. They turned out all right other than that. My mom assumed I burned them and that they would suck, but I have never burned any food, and it always tastes ok. It just never looks very appetizing.

Well, I was able to convince everyone that I needed my ps2 now so I have been playing FFX. I like it, but I don't know if I -really- like it. It is sort of frustrating. The puzzles get on my nerves, and the encounter rate is kind of high. I also feel like I can't get my characters good enough which is extremely annoying to me. I am 35+ hours into the game and I still haven't customized anything. I am almost at the end. I don't have a lot of items and the ones I do have, I'm afraid to use cause I don't want to commit to 'wasting' them on someone heh. The regular enemies give me a bit of trouble. I'm not doing anywhere near the amount of damage that I'd like. I do like all the characters surprisingly, though Kimahri could suddenly disappear and I wouldn't notice. Auron is probably my favorite. Lulu looks the coolest though. Fairly soon, I will finally be able to backtrack so I can go recruit some new blitzball people and actually play it finally. I played it maybe three times so far and totally suck. I need to acquire the items that give me Triple AP as well. I know how I can get them, but dunno if I can do it more than once. I should have tried while I was there the first time. Bleh. Anyway.. Merry Christmas. I have taken more tests that I found on para's site.

Well, all my talking, obsessing, whining, and bugging apparently paid off cause I now have a Playstation 2. WEE!!!!!! Actually, it's sitting in it's box in the corner silently mocking me cause I'm not allowed to do anything with it until Christmas. I have FFX and Soul Reaver 2 just waiting to be played. I've been trying to convince them that I need to play it now.. "to make sure it works" hehe. My dad said I could test it but couldn't actually play it. Yeah right! There is no way in hell he could get me away from that thing if I opened it and hooked it up. These next 3-4 days will drag on forever. I wasn't supposed to tell anyone in my family that I had it cause my dad thought they would get pissed off (especially my mom, at the cost) but I ended up telling her almost immediately cause she came home and informed me that she had bought my dad an expensive surprise gift and I knew we needed to transfer some money over to the other account heh. My uncle also knows because he bought me Soul Reaver 2. My sis in law and brother will know as soon as my uncle tells them what he bought me. You can't keep a secret here. I'm just as bad as everyone else though. I told my mom we bought her some gloves cause she was looking at them while we were buying my game. The only ones who don't know what they are getting for xmas is my dad (until my niece tells my uncle tomorrow and he tells my dad) and my niece who doesn't know we bought her an extra small gift just to surprise her. Well, I will probably not know what I am getting from my bro (if i get anything) until xmas, unless my niece finds out (and tells my uncle, who tells my dad, who tells me heh). Hopefully they will give me some money or a gift certificate so I can get another game (or save it for bills). I definitely racked up this xmas. I plan on paying my dad back a good deal though once I have a job again, which hopefully will be soon. The only person who got gipped this xmas is my brother, but knowing my parents, they will go buy him something extra too. Even my sis and her family all got money even though they don't actually celebrate xmas. It isn't long until my birthday. I will be 23. That's old as hell!! I don't want to be that old. I need to be young so I will quit getting mocked by my family for buying action figures and games and cartoons. At least I have safe, undestructive hobbies. I could be drunk, stoned and/or pregnant like every one else my age around here. Well, that's not exactly true. The pregnant people are all a good bit younger than 23 :/

Well, I've seen Fellowship of the Ring twice now. I am so happy that Legolas was attractive and actually did cool stuff, since he is my fav char in the books. Too bad he was missing a personality :/ The movie missed key points of the story I think.. How will they suddenly explain Gimli and Legolas being best of friends when they barely interacted at all in the first movie? Bleh. Poor Gimli was reduced to stupid dwarf comic relief. It ruled when Legolas was shooting arrows at super speed hehe. Elves rule. They really got the whole androgynous look down for a lot of them. A couple of them left me wondering whether they were girls or guys. Galadriel kind of irritated me. She came across as creepy and mysterious when she is supposed to be nice and mysterious. Ah well. The whole Lothlorien section (the whole few min of it) was pointless since it was too short and they cut out important parts of it. Gollum looked like Abe from the Oddworld games.. and the Balrog (which ruled) looked like Diablo. Heard a lot of funny/stupid/annoying comments from people while watching. A lot of them came from my friend the first time I saw it. Mainly the Diablo one... and when Legolas first showed up, he was like "Is that the guy from Saved by the Bell?" Idiot hehe. Funniest thing I heard from a random kid was "Why did he just kiss him???" All in all, I thought the movie ruled though I wish they had developed the characters a lot more. I just read the book a short while ago, but I think I will read it again now that I've seen the movie. Finally saw a Star Wars trailer and I wasn't impressed. It was the 'love' one. The acting was just horrible to me. Maybe I will still like the movie. The Austin Powers 3 preview was scary. Supposedly some people got a Spiderman preview.. my theater didn't have it. Damnit, I need a ps2. I want FFX...grr.

Lord of the Rings is out today. Yay! But I can't find anyone to go see it with me today. Boo! So I guess I'll be seeing it tomorrow. I wish it would hurry up and be xmas day. I already have my xmas/b-day money but I found out my niece and uncle bought something for me and I am anxious to find out what it is. It could be anything, which I find kind of scary. I know it's not what I want though unless it's a ps2 hehe.
